HEALTH & FITNESS

As Physical Therapists, my Wife and I have had the opportunity to spend a great deal of time working with older populations, and in doing so, we have met some truly remarkable people. Whenever a patient has stood out as being exceptionally happy or healthy we have made a point to pick their brains about how they've come to achieve this, and two themes have emerged.

 

1) You have to have physical activities that you truly love. Because without that passion at some point the aches and pains or busyness of life will get in the way and your health will suffer. 

 

2)  You have to share your passions with others. Namely your spouse and children because when push comes to shove those are the relationships that hold the greatest value and without shared common interests it's hard to find enough time to share with those you love.  So, we have done our best to embrace this guidance in our own lives and try to share these ideals with others. 

 

Hence, the goal of Mountain Surf Company is to embody these concepts and inspire others to get outside, stay healthy and share the adventure. Since we are experts at both having fun and helping people prevent and recover from injuries, we thought we we'd share some of our knowledge and perspective on how recreational sports can be used to prevent and recover from common injuries. Along with how to improve your performance, promote health/longevity, and avoid some of the common problems that can prevent you from continuing to enjoy the activities you love.
